Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) is a technology that enables the wireless connection of devices to the Internet or to wireless networks. Wi-Fi is a standardized wireless communication protocol that uses radio waves to transmit data between devices and access points.

Wi-Fi enables the wireless connection of various devices such as computers, smartphones, televisions, printers, and more to wireless networks and the Internet. Devices with Wi-Fi support can communicate with each other and share data without the need for a physical cable connection.

Wi-Fi technology is based on a series of standards defined by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) under the 802.11 series. These standards set various parameters, frequencies and speeds for wireless connections.

Wireless Wi-Fi networks are common in homes, offices, public spaces, and other places where a wireless Internet connection is needed. Wi-Fi enables flexibility and mobility for users who can connect their devices to the network and use the Internet without the need for a cable connection.
