A thermostatic head

Termostatická hlavice Danfoss RAE 5054 - HORNBACH

A thermostatic head is a device that is used to regulate the temperature in radiators or heating elements in heating systems. Its main function is to maintain a constant temperature in the room and regulate the supply of hot water to the radiator.

The thermostatic head is located on the radiator valve and contains a thermostat that responds to changes in room temperature. When the temperature rises above the set value, the thermostat presses the valve, which reduces the supply of hot water to the radiator and thus the amount of heat that is released into the room. Conversely, if the temperature drops below the set value, the thermostat will release the valve, which will increase the supply of hot water and increase the amount of heat that is released into the room.

This automatic temperature control enables efficient room heating, as the thermostatic head can adjust the heat supply based on the actual temperature in the room. This means that heat loss is minimized and energy consumption is optimized.

Thermostatic heads have different types and functions, and can be manual or electronic. Modern electronic thermostatic heads often also allow programming and remote control via a smartphone or other smart device.

The use of thermostatic heads in heating systems can contribute to higher efficiency and comfort, and also help to save energy and reduce heating costs.
